Polimetrix Systems is able to design network topologies to a very high specification using a variety of different technologies. Our network installations range from small local area networks (LANs) within a single building up to global-scale wide area networks (WANs). A solution can then be designed to meet both your business and budgetary requirements and enable you to efficiently build, expand and integrate your business through best practice processes and technologies.

Small LANs are usually:

  • Internet Cafes
  • Small Offices
  • Libraries
  • Departments in Educational Institutions

Networks are typically split into two different categories, LANs (Local Area Networks) and WANs (Wide Area Networks). LANs are usually defined as the networking infrastructure within one physical location such a single site office. WANs are the physical network links that connect remote LANs to each other which may span even up to a global scale.

WANs and LANs tend to use different base technologies such as Ethernet for LANs and DSL for WANs. As new technologies and applications are deployed, these in turn place additional requirements on the network. Therefore careful design of the infrastructure is required to maintain capacity.

Polimetrix can draw on a wealth of networking experience to design, supply, install, and support networks large and small. We have experience installing brand new networks from scratch, as well as upgrading existing networks. Polimetrix will always seek to understand the client's need for resiliency and future growth - all within their expressed budget and timescale.

Specific requirements such as IP Telephony over the network, branch office optimisation, and security can all be integrated into the network design.

Polimetrix can offer various wireless solutions for data backhaul and leased line replacement
